The Spotted Dog Inn, Upton Lane E7. This georgeous old pub is an oasis in East London, it has two bars plus upstairs restaurant and a garden, and claims to have been used by Henry VIII, hence the life-size statue! Sadly closed and boarded up in January 2006, hope its only temporary.
