Locomotion Page 5

The last RM.
Here is the last Routemaster to operate in London on a normal London bus route. Pictured at the top of Brixton Hill.
This bus departed from Marble Arch at 12.10pm on her final journey to Brixton Garage (Telford Avenue) on Friday 9th December 2005.
The Vehicle, RM2117 the last standard Routemaster (64 seater) to be built by Park Royal Vehicles (PRV) at Southall. Entered service with London Transport in September 1965.
Thanks to my friend Jeff Lloyd for the photo and text above.

There are still a few of them in use on "heritage routes" number 9 and 15.

But most of us end up on this!

One of the last trains ever to stop at Custom House Station.

Nine months after trains stopped running to Custom House Station, nature is well on the way to reclaiming it, certainly doesn't take long!
